1. Can Google and AI find you? (5 minutes)
[ ] Search your business name on Google. You show up, with the right phone number and address.
[ ] Ask an AI assistant, like ChatGPT: "What do you know about [your business] in [your town]?" Note down anything wrong.

2. Does your website say who you are?
[ ] Your homepage says, in words, what you do and the area you cover. Not just in a picture.
[ ] Your phone number and email are on every page, for example in the footer.
[ ] Your opening hours are on your website, and they match your Google Business Profile.
[ ] Your business details are also in code (called schema). Check free: https://aiseoagents.co.uk/tools/schema-checker/

3. Do you answer what customers ask?
[ ] Write down 5 questions customers ask you on the phone. The answers are on your website.
[ ] Each main service has its own page: what it is, who it's for, where you cover and how to book.
[ ] You show prices, or a rough price guide, wherever you can.

4. Are you the same everywhere?
[ ] Your business name, address and phone number are written the same way on your website, Google Business Profile and any directories.
[ ] You ask every customer for a Google review, not just the happy ones.
[ ] You never offer money, discounts or freebies for a review. Google's rules ban it.

5. Keep it fresh (once a month, 15 minutes)

[ ] Update anything that changed: hours, prices, services, photos.
[ ] Run the AI readiness checker again and compare your score.

Optional (10 minutes, never pay for it)

Red flags if someone offers to do this for you
- They promise you'll be number 1. Google says: "No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google."
- They want to buy links for you. Google's spam rules list "Buying or selling links for ranking purposes."
- They won't tell you what they changed, or why.
