What the checker looks at
Around 20 checks in four plain-English groups. Each one comes with a fix you can hand to whoever looks after your website.
Can AI find you?
Whether your robots.txt file lets in the crawlers behind ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Google and Bing. We also check for a sitemap, an llms.txt file and a "noindex" tag, and whether your words are visible without JavaScript.
Can AI understand you?
Your page title and description, headings, business schema (the code that labels your name, address and phone), answers to common questions, and whether there's enough helpful detail to work with.
Can AI trust you?
Clear contact details, a page about the people behind the business, links to your social profiles and signs the site is kept up to date.
Is it quick and easy to use?
How fast your page responds, whether it's set up for phones, how heavy the page is, image descriptions and how your link looks when shared.
Why AI readiness matters
More and more people ask AI assistants who to call, where to buy and which business to trust, instead of scrolling through search results. An assistant can only recommend a business it can read and understand.
Plenty of websites shut AI out without the owner knowing. A security setting, a hosting default or a line copied into robots.txt years ago can block AI crawlers. Other sites load their words with JavaScript, which most AI crawlers don't run, so all they see is a blank page. The good news is that most fixes are quick once you know what they are.
How we score your site
Each check is weighted by how much it affects whether AI can find and recommend you. Blocked crawlers and hidden content count the most. Small extras like llms.txt count the least. We check the page you enter, plus your robots.txt, sitemap and llms.txt files, exactly as a crawler receives them, without running JavaScript.
A high score doesn't guarantee AI will recommend you, and nobody can honestly promise that. A low score usually means something is in the way, and it's often simple to fix.

Questions about the checker
Is the AI readiness checker really free?
Yes. There's no sign-up and no catch. Enter a web address and you get your score, findings and top fixes straight away. You only give us your email if you want your 30-day plan.
What does AI readiness mean?
It's how easy your website is for AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini to find, read, understand and trust. If any of those steps fails, they are far less likely to recommend you when someone asks for a business like yours.
My site scored low. What should I fix first?
Start with the "Fix these first" list. Anything marked in red under "Can AI find you?" matters most, because if AI crawlers are blocked or can't see your words, nothing else counts. Many of these fixes take minutes.
Should I block AI crawlers to protect my content?
It's your choice, and some businesses block AI training on purpose. Bear in mind that blocking the crawlers AI assistants use to fetch pages for their answers means you can't be quoted or linked when people ask for recommendations. Our checker shows the two kinds separately so you can decide.
Why is my score different from other tools?
Every tool checks different things. We focus on what affects whether AI assistants can find and recommend a business, and we weight each check by how much it matters. We look at your page the way a crawler does, without running JavaScript.
Do you store the websites I check?
We keep results for about 10 minutes so repeat checks are fast. We only save a result for longer if you create a share link or ask for your plan, and then only to show it back to you.
Can you fix these issues for me?
