What is schema markup?
Schema markup is a small block of code that labels the facts on your page, like your business name, address, opening hours, prices and reviews, in a shared format that search engines and AI assistants understand without guessing. Visitors never see it. Most sites use a format called JSON-LD, which sits in a script tag in the page's code.

- LocalBusiness or Organization on your homepage: your name, address, phone, logo, hours and social profiles. This is the one that matters most.
- Service or Product on the pages for what you sell, ideally with prices.
- FAQPage wherever you answer common questions.

How to add schema to your website

Most website builders have a place for this: look for a setting called custom code, code injection, header code or tracking code. On WordPress, a header-code plugin or your SEO plugin can do it.
